As part of an expansion project, a Chinese cuisine restaurant at Pavilion Bukit Jalil required core drilling through its finished flooring to install new piping systems. However, the restaurant remained open during normal business hours, making it essential to avoid any disruption to their customers or accidental damage to the concrete slab during coring.
Xradar™’s enhanced concrete scanning technology was conducted to carry out a non-destructive scan of the designated core locations. The scan focused on identifying embedded elements such as rebar, conduits, and post-tension cables to ensure a safe and accurate coring process.
The job was completed efficiently in under an hour with just one Xradar™ engineer on site. Our high-resolution subsurface imaging enabled precise mapping while maintaining the integrity of the finished floor and avoiding any interference with ongoing restaurant operations.
The results allowed the client to proceed confidently with their piping installation.
