To anchor the supporting columns, hundreds of points on the existing rooftop slab needed to be drilled.
This project is similar to the one we did previously for Setia City Mall that wanted to install solar panels on their rooftop parking too.
Similarly, due to the presence of embedded post-tension (PT) cables and reinforcement, AEON Tebrau required a non-invasive solution to avoid damaging critical structural elements.
We carried out 800 scanning points across the designated drill zones. Using our enhanced concrete scanning technology, we accurately mapped the location and depth of PT cables, rebar, and other embedded items within the slab. This data provided clear guidance to ensure that structural integrity would not be compromised during the anchoring process.
The entire scan was completed in just 5 days with no disruption to mall operations. By delivering fast and precise subsurface insights, we helped the project team move forward confidently with the installation of their green energy infrastructure.
